My Yuppy Puppy
Just this side of heaven is a place called
Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been
especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so they can run and
play together.
There is plenty of food, water and
sunshine, and our friends are warm and
comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old
are restored to health and vigor; those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole
and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to
them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over
the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous
reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the
beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Kobi Katz
Kobi you were my best friend, my confidant, my roommate and my
shadow.  You were the best dog and I was honored that you were
mine.  Every person who came in contact with you left with a smile, a
wet face from all your kisses, and the feeling of love.  You were my
whole life.
I remember the first day that I met you at the breeders.  While I held
you, you nervously climbed behind my head for comfort and won me
over.  It was hard to leave you because you were still too young to
come home.  I was very excited when the day finally came when
grandpa and I picked you up at the hotel to take you home.  However,
before we even made it back to the house, you threw up all over me
and I didn’t care.  That’s when I realized I was in love!
We have been through so much together.  On September 11, 2003 the two of us just got up and moved to
New York.  It was a big step, but we made it.  We met so many new friends in our buildings.  First there was Tyson
(Ty Ty) and the two of you together became the ‘rapists dogs’.  He was your first best friend and twin.  Then we met
Sophie, who to this day we can’t decide if you were boyfriend and girlfriend, best friends, or brother and sister.
Whichever you were, it was a very special relationship.   I know they both miss you like crazy as well.
You had a special aura about you.  People, who didn’t like dogs, liked you.  As you looked at them with your
big brown eyes and happy smile they all melted.  This could happen with our friends, people on the street, or at
work.  You were the MCC mascot and employee (who had his own ID badge).  You brought therapy to the
employees and conditioned dogs to many of the students.  You touched so many lives in different ways.
People always commented on how smart and so well behaved you were (when you weren’t alone with my
bedroom door open). You danced, waved, rolled over, pretend to sleep, and so much more.  You would “go get”
your toy or a specific person.  We always had fun playing “come” and “go”.  You would stare at me waiting in
anticipation of which one I will say next.  You could do everything except walk up the stairs at work, which I will never
understand, but we always had so much fun together.
You were there for me during the best times and the worst times.  No matter what kind of day I had, it was all
left at the door when I saw you.  When I walked in you would give me my kisses, then grab whatever bone or toy I
gave you in the morning, and waited anxiously at the gate until I opened it.  Then you would go run around the
living room and flip your toys in the air.  You were always happy as long as I was in sight.  No matter where you
were, your eyes were always locked on me.  You were and always will be my guardian.
We have so many memories together that I could never forget.  I know you are still with me lying on the floor
with your head on the coffee table watching me, making up your bed on the pillow next to me before going to bed,
barking at our neighbor’s dog every night at 10pm, and just always right behind me being my shadow.  I love you
and miss you more than words can describe.  Your life was taken away to quickly, but you will always live on within
me.
Happy Birthday!
Love,
Mommy
